The UAE is two countries in one: Dubai, the city that does everything louder and taller, and Abu Dhabi, the capital that does everything slower and more elegantly. Most international visitors land in Dubai and spend their entire trip there but Abu Dhabi, just 90 minutes away, is worth at least one full day.
The best time for a desert safari in Dubai is October through April, when temperatures sit between 18°C and 28°C. Summer safaris (May through September) are available but start early in the morning to beat the midday heat.
But what to wear on your trip to UAE? Lightweight, loose-fitting clothing in modest lengths. The desert sand gets everywhere, closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended over sandals. Sunglasses and a light layer for the return journey in the evening are always a good idea.

If you can only do one, the evening safari is our most complete experience.
